Creation and deepening of harmony with society
Kanazawa University as "a research university dedicated to education, while opening up its doors to both local and global society" will contribute to the development of academic culture in the region and the creation of a foundation for education, medical care, and welfare and other activities . (Kanazawa University Charter)
In addition, with The Future Vision of Kanazawa University "Kokorozashi" we aim to make further contributions to society from the perspectives of research, education, and management.
Point 1: Research universities open to society
We collaborate with local communities and society to implement a variety of projects. Project:AERU" provides opportunities for students to "meet and learn" with local communities and companies. The "ZATSUDAN NO CHIKARA is an exchange project project that generates ideas from "coincidences. In addition, we have concluded cooperative agreements with local governments in Ishikawa and Toyama prefectures, and are working to solve issues in local communities.
Point 2: Provide "learning opportunities" for society
We offer various opportunities for relearning (lifelong learning), including undergraduate and graduate programs for working adults. Kanazawa University reskilling program is a package of regular coursework with credit. It allows students to study specific skills together, such as language, management, environment, information, etc. Kanazawa University Open Academy is an out-of-class course that does not involve credit.
