新型コロナウイルス感染症に関する本学の対応について
新型コロナウイルス感染症は世界的に急速に拡大し，石川県においても，海外や県外に外出していない市中感染とみられる感染者が発生するなど，感染拡大が懸念されております。
本学においては，令和2年2月4日に新型コロナウイルス感染症対策に関する危機対策本部を設置して，感染防止に向けた取り組みを検討し，これまで学生・教職員への注意喚起，令和元年度学位記授与式の簡素化，集会・イベント・会食への参加自粛の要請を実施してまいりました。
さらに，令和2年度においても，入学宣誓式の延期または中止，授業開始日の4月20日までの延期を実施するとともに，学生には授業開始日の2週間前には石川県に戻り，可能な限り外出を控えるよう強く自粛要請するなどの取り組みを実施してまいりました。
このような取り組みを実施してきたところですが，このたび，本学を修了した学生に感染者が発生したことにより，地域の皆さま，本学学生，本学関係者の皆さまに大変ご心配をおかけしております。
今後，本学関係者に感染者が発生した場合は，速やかに感染拡大防止の措置を講じるとともに，行動履歴等の事実が判明後，その家族の特定，差別の助長に繋がることがないよう十分に配慮した上で，速やかに情報を公表してまいります。
未だ同感染症の感染に終息の兆しが見えない厳しい現状の下ではございますが，皆さまに安心していただくために今後も同対策本部を中心に，学生・教職員への継続的な注意喚起，オンライン講義の推進，路線バスの混雑解消に向けた本学独自の通学バス運行等，さまざまな取り組みについて実行してまいります。
また，学生の教育機会が損なわれないよう，引き続き教職員一同努力していく所存でございますので，ご理解とご支援を賜りますようお願いいたします。

The University's Response to Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)
As coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) rapidly expands worldwide, there are concerns about the spread of infections in Ishikawa prefecture, including the emergence of people who are believed to have community-acquired infections, and have not been overseas or outside the prefecture.
We established the Crisis Management Headquarters for the control of COVID-19 on February 4, 2020, and examined measures to prevent infection. We simplified the commencement ceremony, provided information to students, staff, and faculty, and requested that they refrain from participating in gatherings, events, and dinners.
In addition, we have been implementing various measures for the 2020 academic year. We made the decision to postpone or cancel the matriculation ceremony, and postponed the starting date of classes to April 20. We have strongly requested students return to Ishikawa prefecture two weeks before classes start, and to refrain from going out as much as possible.
Despite implementing such initiatives, we must apologize to the local community, our students, and people affiliated with the university, due to the emergence of infected person among students who have completed programs at our university.
When people related to our university are infected, measures shall be taken promptly to prevent the spread of infection. After investigating the facts, such as the history of the person’s actions, we will publish information promptly, taking measures to avoid the identification of the family and the promotion of discrimination.
Despite the severe situation, and without the end of the pandemic in sight, we will carry out various initiatives to ensure peace of mind, primarily from the university headquarters. These initiatives include provision of information to students, staff, and faculty; promotion of online lectures; and operation of our own school bus to reduce congestion on public route buses.
We will continue to make every effort to ensure that the educational opportunities for students are not impaired. We appreciate your understanding and support.
