12月4日，環日本海域環境研究センターの塚脇真二教授が，カンボジア王国シェムリアプのソカ リゾート＆コンベンションセンターで開催されたアンコール世界遺産国際管理運営委員会（ICC-Angkor）25周年記念式典において，カンボジア王国のフン・セン首相より，「ロイヤル・モニサラポン勲章 大十字章（Royal Order of Monisaraphon, Knight Grand Cross）」を授与されました。
この勲章はカンボジア王国における文学・美術，教育，司法，行政および科学の各分野の功労者が受賞するものです。塚脇教授は，アンコール世界遺産における環境保全や文化財保護にかかるICC-Angkorの特別専門家委員としての長年の貢献が評価されました。
Professor Shinji TSUKAWAKI at Institute of Nature and Environmental Technology was awarded the “Royal Order of Monisaraphon, Knight Grand Cross” from the Kingdom of Cambodia for his long standing contribution to sustaining natural and cultural environment in the Angkor Heritage site as an ad hoc expert of the ICC-Angkor. On December 4, 2018, Professor Tsukawaki was received the decoration from Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo HUN SEN, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia. The award ceremony was hold during the 25th Anniversary of the International Coordinating Committee for the Safeguarding and Development of the Historic Site of Angkor (ICC-Angkor) at Sokha Siem Reap Resort & Convention Centre in Siem Reap, Cambodia.
