9月17日，本学の海外リエゾンオフィスとして，ドイツ・デュッセルドルフ大学内に「金沢大学デュッセルドルフ事務所」を設置しました。
開所式では，本学の大竹茂樹理事・副学長とデュッセルドルフ大学のアンネ・ゲラート国際課長からあいさつがあり，在デュッセルドルフ日本国総領事館の戸田真介首席領事から祝辞が述べられました。
また，同日，金沢大学・千葉大学・長崎大学とデュッセルドルフ大学とのジョイントシンポジウムを開催し，本学からは教職員7名と大学院生2名が参加しました。シンポジウムでは，各大学教員・研究者が研究発表を行い，各大学における相互交流の活発化や，ダブル・ディグリー・プログラム実現に向けた議論・検討が行われました。
今後は，平成31年に第2回ジョイントシンポジウムの金沢での開催を予定しており，両大学の共同研究や研究協力がより一層活発になることが期待されます。
On September 17, the Opening Ceremony of Kanazawa University Düsseldorf Office took place at Heinrich-Heine-University Düsseldorf, Germany. Vice President Shigeki Ohtake and Dr. Anne GELLERT of HHU International Office gave the opening remarks, and Principal Officer Toda from the Consulate-General of Japan in Düsseldorf offered a congratulatory address. Seven faculty and staff and 2 graduate students from Kanazawa University participated in the event.
On the same day, “The Symposium for the Preparation of an Established Double-Degree Program between Japanese and German Graduate School of Advanced Preventive Medicine” was jointly implemented by Kanazawa University, Chiba University, Nagasaki University and Heinrich-Heine-University Düsseldorf.
The second joint symposium will be hosted in Kanazawa in 2019, and it will be an essential opportunity to promote research exchanges and collaborations.
