From August 17 to 21, the Facilities Department of Kanazawa University conducted an internship program for students from science and engineering colleges of technology and universities. This internship, held again following last year, aimed to provide students with practical experience in the work of the Facilities Department and to deepen their understanding of the Department’s roles, appeal, and workplace atmosphere.

Participating students took part in facility tours, attended meetings between faculty members and construction contractors, experienced drone operation, conducted on‑site inspections of construction sites, and visited disaster restoration work sites in the Noto area. Through these experiences, students gained a sense of the large scale of the University’s facilities and learned that the Facilities Department plays an important role in building trust with both faculty members who use the facilities and construction contractors, serving as a vital bridge between the two.

In addition, during a round‑table discussion with staff members, students actively asked questions, and the interaction with staff working on site provided an opportunity for them to envision their future career paths and working styles more concretely.

On the final day, completion certificates were awarded, marking the successful conclusion of the five‑day program.
