The Health Service Center holds the food‑education program “Tasty and Easy Vegetable‑Rich Breakfast Soup Tasting Event” every quarter as part of its student support initiatives. The program aims to prevent students from skipping breakfast and to help them maintain a balanced diet for a healthy university life. At each tasting event, a simple yet hearty soup and its recipe are provided.

For the second quarter, the event was held on July 22 at the Natural Science and Technology Main Hall and on July 28 at the General Education Lecture Hall. This time, participants were served “Summer Vegetable Ratatouille” accompanied by a small baguette, and a healthy dessert, “Tofu Shiratama Anmitsu,” made by kneading tofu into the shiratama dumplings. Under the guidance of a registered dietitian, volunteer student crew members prepared and served the dishes.

In the post‑event survey, participants shared comments such as: “The summer vegetable ratatouille was full of ingredients, and even included bread—delicious!” “Living alone, I usually cannot buy so many kinds of vegetables and fruits, so I really appreciated it.” “The tofu shiratama had a pleasantly chewy texture, and the combination with fruits and sweet bean paste was perfect. It was so good that I finished it immediately.” “It was truly delicious and reminded me of the nostalgic school lunches I had in elementary and junior high school.” The event received very positive feedback overall.

This program is also scheduled to be held in the third quarter. Please look forward to it!
