The Kanazawa University Cycling Club, an extracurricular student organization, has been commissioned by the Kanazawa‑Naka Police Station as part of the “Kanazawa‑Naka Cycling Safety United” (hereafter, Kanazawa‑Naka CS United) initiative. A commissioning ceremony was held on July 17 at ○KU○KU (Waku‑Waku), the welfare facility on the Kakuma Campus.
Kanazawa‑Naka CS United is an initiative in which organizations and individuals who promote safe bicycle use are commissioned to help raise awareness and encourage widespread understanding of the obligation to make efforts to wear helmets. The Cycling Club was selected for this role in recognition of its independent creation of traffic‑safety materials and its ongoing commitment to safe riding practices.
During the ceremony, the student representative expressed determination, stating that the club will “continue to practice safe riding and strive to serve as a model for others.”
