On June 29, Kanazawa University held a Staff Recruitment Briefing followed by an Informal Meeting with Young Staff at the Main Administration Building on the Kakuma Campus. Thirteen participants—primarily applicants for the Tokai–Hokuriku Regional National University Corporation Staff Recruitment Examination—attended the in‑person session, and an additional fifty‑five viewed the briefing via on‑demand streaming.

The briefing began with opening remarks by Mr. Morimasa Hara, Director of the General Affairs Department. Staff members from the Human Resources and Labor Affairs Section introduced the university’s initiatives, the roles and responsibilities of university administrative staff, and the appeal of working at Kanazawa University. They also explained the recruitment process. Young staff members then shared their own experiences, discussing the nature of their work and the sense of fulfillment it brings.

During the subsequent informal meeting, participants and young staff members engaged in small‑group discussions. Participants asked questions about job responsibilities, workplace atmosphere, and day‑to‑day operations, to which young staff responded by drawing on their personal experiences.

Participants commented: “It was a valuable opportunity to learn about university administrative work.” “Hearing directly from staff helped me gain a deeper understanding of the job and its appeal.” Many also noted that the event helped them form a clearer image of what it would be like to work at Kanazawa University.
