On June 8, the completion ceremony for the international student program “Kanazawa City Walks: Culture, Craft, and Urban Space Program 2026”, hosted by the College of Transdisciplinary Sciences for Innovation, was held in the Natural Science and Technology Main Hall.
The program was conducted from May 29 and welcomed a total of seven participants—six students from San Francisco State University and one student from the University of Guam. With support from Kanazawa University students, the participants enjoyed a variety of cultural experiences in Kanazawa, including tea ceremony, gold leaf application, a stroll through Kenrokuen Garden, a visit to Omicho Market, and the Hyakumangoku Festival. They also presented the outcomes of their learning in groups. Students from Kanazawa University who attended the presentations actively asked questions, creating lively and engaging communication.
After the presentations, Associate Professor Dagan Saghano, the program coordinator from the Faculty of Transdisciplinary Sciences for Innovation, Institute of Transdisciplinary Sciences for Innovation, presented a certificate of completion to each participant.
This program is expected to further deepen the exchange between Kanazawa University, San Francisco State University, and the University of Guam.
