The “FY2026 Meeting with Parents and Guardians of Undergraduate Students” was held on May 23 and 30 at Kakuma Campus and Takara-machi /Tsuruma campus.
In previous years, the meeting was held for parents and guardians of first-year students only. However, in response to requests in the post-event questionnaire from last year asking that meetings also be offered for parents of students in other years, this year’s meeting was expanded to include parents and guardians of all undergraduate year levels. A total of 580 participants attended at Kakuma Campus and 267 participants at Takara-machi /Tsuruma campus.
In Part I, the University-wide Information Session, President Takashi Wada delivered opening remarks, followed by an explanation from Trustee Akiharu Morimoto (Provost; in charge of University Reform, Education, and Information). He introduced topics such as the development of “Kanazawa University Brand Talent,” study abroad opportunities, pathways to graduate school, student life, and the university’s student support system. In Part II, the School/College Information Sessions, explanations were provided regarding the educational structure of each College and School. Student presentations and facility tours were also offered, providing parents and guardians with an opportunity to further deepen their understanding of Kanazawa University.
