On April 27, Kanazawa University was accredited as a partner of “WIPO GREEN,” an international environmental‑technology platform operated by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), a specialized agency of the United Nations.

WIPO GREEN is an international matching platform for environmental technologies operated by WIPO. It aims to promote collaboration and technology transfer with domestic and international partners by sharing technologies, patents, and needs held by universities and companies.

Kanazawa University has contributed to the realization of a sustainable society through university‑wide initiatives such as promoting carbon neutrality, collaborating with local communities, respecting diversity, and implementing academic knowledge in society. Since these initiatives align with the objectives of WIPO GREEN, joining the platform as a partner will further promote the social implementation of environmental technologies originating from Kanazawa University and strengthen the university’s ongoing efforts.
