On March 18 and March 24, the 2025 Distinguished Service Awards and Special Recognition Awards ceremonies were held.
The 2025 Distinguished Service Awards were presented to two individuals—Associate Professor Shoya Matsuda, Faculty of Electrical, Institute of Science and Engineering, and Professor Tatsuaki Furumoto, Advanced Manufacturing Technology Institute—for their particularly outstanding achievements in education, research, medical activities, or university management, and for receiving high recognition from society.
The Special Recognition Awards were presented to all staff members of the Academic Information Section, General Affairs Department, in charge of KURA (Kanazawa University Repository for Academic Resources), and all staff members of the Foundation and Alumni Office, for their proactive efforts and achievements in undertaking work of a special nature or in improving administrative operations.
At the ceremony, President Takashi Wada presented the award with certificates and bouquets, along with words of encouragement for their continued success.

Promoted fundraising campaigns with clearly defined purposes and initiatives tailored to donor demographics, contributing to the cultivation of a culture of giving and the establishment of a stable financial foundation.
