On April 1, Kanazawa University confirmed that more than five cherry blossoms had bloomed on the specimen tree at the Kakuma Campus.

The Kakuma Campus of Kanazawa University is one of the most famous cherry blossom viewing spots in Kanazawa, with approximately 680 cherry trees of 11 varieties, including Someiyoshino and Yamazakura. The campus was ranked No. 1 in western Japan in the “Ranking of University Cherry Blossom Viewing Spots in Japan You’ll Want to Walk Through at Least Once” published in the Nikkei Plus One “Anything Ranking” on February 27, 2016.

The main cherry blossom viewing spots on the Kakuma Campus are shown on the map below, but there are many more beautiful cherry blossom locations throughout the campus.
