Kanazawa University Ranks First in Japan in the Pass Rate for the National Examination for Pharmacists

On March 25, the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare announced the successful candidates for the 111th National Examination for Pharmacists, which was held on February 21 and 22, 2026.

At Kanazawa University, 37 out of 39 examinees passed, achieving a 94.87% pass rate, the highest in Japan. (The overall national pass rate was 68.49%.)

In the School of Pharmacy, College of Medical, Pharmaceutical and Health Sciences, Kanazawa University provides systematic education ranging from basic sciences to clinical practice, ensuring that students acquire the knowledge and skills required of pharmacists, while also offering continuous learning support. The school also fosters an environment in which students and faculty support one another, challenge themselves, and learn proactively.

We humbly accept the honor of being ranked No. 1 in Japan and will continue our efforts to further enhance the quality of pharmacy education.
