On March 17, at the Kakuma Campus, the X Program, Graduate School of Human and Socio-Environmental Studies, held the 2nd Future-oriented Intelligence Fusion Symposium, titled “The Future and Challenges of Human Behavioral Data in a Digital Society,” in a hybrid format combining in-person and online participation, with about 50 attendees from inside and outside the university.

This symposium focused on human behavioral data measured across diverse research fields, discussing what such data can reveal and what kind of future can be envisioned through its utilization.

The event began with opening remarks by Professor Haruyuki Kojima, Dean of the Graduate School of Human and Socio-Environmental Studies, followed by greetings from Trustee Shinichi Nakamura. The symposium invited Assistant Professor Shohei Yamamoto of the Department of Economics, College of Economics, Rikkyo University, Associate Professor Tomoya Myojin of the Department of Health and Social Medicine, Hamamatsu University School of Medicine, and Assistant Professor Takeru Miyoshi of the Department of Electronics and Information Engineering, National Institute of Technology, Ishikawa College, who introduced their respective research cases and gave lectures on issues and future possibilities related to the collection, management, and utilization of data, including personal information.

After closing remarks by Professor Taku Yamamoto, Dean of the College of Human and Social Sciences, a coffee networking session was held, during which participants actively exchanged opinions. The event provided a meaningful opportunity for cross-disciplinary collaboration and the creation of new knowledge.
