On March 6, the project “Heso DAO”(*), in which Project HESO of Kanazawa University Affiliated Schools participates, conducted the “Noto Town Full-of-Charms Bus Tour” planned by sixth-grade students of Matsunami Elementary School in Noto Town.

This tour, entirely produced by the children, included visits to Yanagida Botanical Park, the Jomon Museum at the Mawaki Site, Ika-no-Eki Tsuku Mall, and two other locations. Seventeen students accompanied the participants and served as guides.

On the bus, the participants enjoyed introductions to Noto Town’s specialty products and a quiz session. About 20 people—including university students and working adults from inside and outside Ishikawa Prefecture, including those from Kanazawa University—spent a valuable time sharing social issues and hopes for reconstruction through direct dialogue with the children.

The operating funds for this tour were supported by contributions raised through crowdfunding in December 2025. The children’s desire to “share the many charms of Noto” resonated with many people and took shape as this tour.

Project HESO of Kanazawa University Affiliated Schools, the Kanazawa University Education New Platform, and the Local WEB3 Collaboration Association are implementing the “Reconstruction × Local Value Creation” exploratory project (Heso DAO) in cooperation with elementary and junior high schools in the Noto region, using integrated studies time.
Heso DAO is a system that transcends school boundaries, bringing together the community, universities, companies, and citizens to support the learning of children in Noto. With “Reconstruction × Local Value Creation” as its theme, Heso DAO aims to create a new form of education that revitalizes the region through children’s inquiry-based activities.
