Mr. Daren Tang, Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) visits Kanazawa University

On February 2, Mr. Daren Tang Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO)* and other officials visited Kanazawa University.

The group exchanged opinions with President Takashi Wada, Trustee/Vice President Shinichi Nakamura, Vice President Kunio Matsumoto, Professor Keishi Nishihara and Professor Tetsu Saito Frontier Science and Social Co-creation Initiative , Professor Hidehiko Adachi Faculty of Law, Institute of Human and Social Sciences, and adjunct professor Mitsuyo Matsuda, Graduate School of Law (Kraft Legal Professional Corporation, Matsuda Law & Patent Office).

During the exchange of opinions, the participants discussed social implementation of research results, the importance of building an ecosystem of startups and innovation involving universities, raising awareness of intellectual property, and cooperation in intellectual property and risk management education.

Following this, we exchanged views with Vision Incubate Inc., a venture capital firm originating from Kanazawa University, and MoveEz Inc. a certified venture of Kanazawa University at MIRAICHI Research Center.
