On December 2nd, Kanazawa University held the International Students Gathering 2025, attended by a total of 40 students, faculty and staff. This gathering is held every year to further promote international exchange and understanding at our university, and to deepen ties between international students and faculty and staff. Furthermore, this year, under the theme of "multicultural co-learning," Japanese students were also invited to participate.

The gathering began with an opening address by President Wada Takashi. In his speech, he mentioned that Kanazawa University has been selected for the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology " Project for Creating World-Class Graduate Education Hubs to Lead the Future (FLAGs) "and stated its commitment to strengthening the development of next-generation doctoral talent who will lead the future. Next, the Noh chanting and small drum performance by the Kanazawa University Noh Circle "Hosho-kai," followed by presentations by international students introducing their home universities and highlighting the attractions of Kanazawa University, enlivened the venue. The gathering became livelier, accompanied by the smooth facilitation of Assistant Professor Tomoya Sato from the International Center for Japanese Studies and Education.

At the venue, handmade cookies by students from Kanazawa University Special Needs School and Kanazawa University’s original Guatemalan coffee were served, and both international and Japanese students in a friendly atmosphere, deepened their interaction with each other while enjoying chatting and taking photos with the President, whom they hardly have the chance to have a face-to-face conversation usually.
