"Networking Event between Kanazawa University Doctoral Students and Companies" Held

On October 24, the Strategic Project for Development of Doctoral Students and Research Promotion (HaKaSe+) and Career Support Office held the "Networking Event between Kanazawa University Doctoral Students and Companies" as the fourth session of the "KU Doctoral Career Session 2025."

On the day of the event, approximately 50 participants attended, including current students enrolled in doctoral and postdoctoral programs, as well as master's and pre-doctoral students who have been accepted into doctoral or postdoctoral programs. From the corporate side, representatives from 13 companies participated, including those in research and development roles and human resources departments. The participating companies were: CyberAgent, Inc.; Santec Holdings Corporation; JFE Techno-Research Corporation; SHIBUYA CORPORATION; Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd.; Daicel Corporation; Tower Partners Semiconductor Co., Ltd.; Tsudakoma Corporation; Tome Research Institute, Inc.; Japan Entrance Examination Center Co., Ltd.; Nuvoton Technology Japan Corporation; Maruho Co., Ltd.; and the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology.

In the opening seminar, Shoji Morimoto Trustee of Kanazawa University gave greetings to the participating companies and students, and explained the purpose and significance of this exchange, as well as Kanazawa University 's efforts to promote the advancement of graduate school education and career building of doctoral students in an integrated manner, present various role models, and expand career paths in Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology "Creating World-Leading Graduate Education Centers Leading the Future" which was adopted by the project this fiscal year. He also explained about the efforts of the "Project for the Creation of World-Leading Graduate Education Centers Leading the Future," , which was adopted this fiscal year.

 続いて,本イベントのコンサルタント企業で,博士人材のキャリア支援事業を展開する株式会社エマージングテクノロジーズの深澤知憲社長から参加学生に対し,偶然の出会いから生まれる縁を大切にして未来の可能性を広げられるように,多くの色々な企業の方と話をしてくださいとのアドバイスがありました。

After introductions by representatives from 13 companies, about 30 posters were presented by participating students in the Academic Promenade of the Natural Science and Technology Building, where students enthusiastically explained their fields of expertise and research to company representatives.

In the round-table discussion, which was held in the main lecture room of the Natural Science and Technology Lecture Building, participating students visited the booths of various companies during the four exchange sessions and actively asked questions about the characteristics of each company, the content of research and development work, and the doctoral personnel that the companies expected. They also listened attentively to the explanations of company representatives and engaged in exchanges aimed at building their post-completion careers.
