On July 20, a presentation event for the common education subject "Future Design Practice" was held in Noto Town, Ishikawa Prefecture, with approximately 60 students, faculty, and staff in attendance.

This subject started in 2022 under the theme "You can change yourself and your future!" It encourages students to "design their own future" by engaging in communication with peers from diverse backgrounds and areas of expertise, and to take steps toward realizing that future. As part of this "practice," students plan and propose projects and events in which they themselves can participate.

On the day of the event, Tomiko Machi, the Superintendent of Education of Noto Town, gave a lecture on the theme of "chance change charge" at Conser Noto in Noto Town. She gave a valuable talk on the current situation and efforts of Noto Town toward reconstruction after the Noto Peninsula earthquake and heavy rain, and the progress of Matsunami Elementary School, which was damaged by the disaster.

In the afternoon, students presented the projects they had been working on for the past two months. After reviewing the project presentations, President Takashi Wada gave a lecture on "Learn by oneself, nurture by oneself." Students actively asked questions and made many comments, making it a fulfilling time.

On the bus ride back, participants reflected on the presentations. Moving forward, students will continue to refine the projects they proposed and work toward bringing them to life.
