ニューヨーク州立大学バッファロー校学長らが来学しFD講演会を開催
President of the University at Buffalo, the State University of New York visited Kanazawa University and delivered FD lectures.

　4月22日，ニューヨーク州立大学バッファロー校のサテシ・トリパーティ学長ら3名が来学し，和田学長を表敬訪問しました。
　ニューヨーク州立大学バッファロー校は，本学と50年にもおよぶ交流の歴史を有する最も重要なパートナー大学の１つであり，令和5年7月には和田学長が同校を訪問するなど，親交を深めてきました。
　今回の表敬では，学生・研究者交流の活性化に向けた協議を行うとともに，”UB in the Community: From Innovation to Impact”と題し，トリパーティ学長によるFD講演会を実施しました。同講演会には50名以上の教職員などが参加し，講演の後には，地域と大学の関わり方，教育の在り方など，活発な質疑応答が行われました。

On April 22, Dr. Satish Tripathi, President of the University at Buffalo, the State University of New York paid a courtesy visit to President Wada.
The University at Buffalo, the State University of New York is one of the most important partner universities with a 50-year history of exchange. President Wada visited the university in July 2023 and we have deepened our friendship.
During this courtesy visit, discussions were held to revitalize student and researcher exchanges, and President Tripathi delivered a FD lecture titled “UB in the Community: From Innovation to Impact”. The lecture was attended by more than 50 faculty members and others, and was followed by a lively question-and-answer session on how the university should interact with the community, the state of education, and other topics.
