Event Details

The 62nd Kanazawa University Festival will be held on November 1 and 2.

The Kindaisai, Kanazawa University Festival is Kanazawa University's largest annual student-led event. This year, under the theme "Dynamic Spirit — United in Heart, Moving Forward", approximately 70 programs and booths organized by extracurricular student groups will be featured.

Various performances will be held on two outdoor stages, including light music concerts, dance, Yosakoi, cheerleading, and fire performances. Festival booths will offer yakisoba, frankfurters, Korean tteokbokki, and regional specialties such as stick bread from Aomori. Indoor venues such as the jazz café will serve light meals. Other programs include a piano concert, theatrical performances, exhibitions, tea ceremonies, and traditional Japanese music.

As a special program, on November 1, the "80 Years Since the End of World War II" event will feature a screening of the documentary "What Barefoot Gen Wants to Tell Us", followed by a talk session with director Yuko Ishida. On November 2, the Ishikawa-based comedy duo Bunbunbowl will perform a special consumer awareness comedy show titled "Kanazawa City Consumer Trouble Outreach Manzai". In addition, as part of support for the recovery of Noto, Kanazawa University’s extracurricular group Volunteer Support Station will sell specialty products from the Wajima Morning Market.

We warmly invite everyone to join us and enjoy the event together.
