5月9日，ロシア・カザン連邦大学のイルシャト・ガフロフ学長ほか3名が来学し，宝町キャンパスにおいて本学医学系及びがん進展制御研究所教員とのラウンドテーブルカンファレンスに参加しました。カンファレンスでは，両大学の医学分野での研究紹介や学生及び教員交流の可能性などについて活発に意見交換。その後，一行は医学部記念館及び附属病院を視察しました。
また，当日は山崎光悦学長を表敬訪問し，カザン連邦大学と本学とのさらなる交流などについて積極的に意見を交わしました。
On May 9, Prof. Ilshat Gafurov, Rector of Kazan Federal University, and 3 other delegates visited Kanazawa University and participated in the Roundtable Conference with the faculty members from the Faculty of Medicine and Cancer Research Center. At the conference, there were presentations on the medical research at each university and an active discussion on the possibility of exchanging students and researchers. After the conference, the delegates observed the Medical Museum and the University Hospital.
Also, the delegates paid a courtesy visit to President Koetsu Yamazaki, and a lively discussion took place on further exchanges between the two universities.
