4月27日，本学の大学間国際交流協定校である米国のニューヨーク州立大学バッファロー校から，ジェームズ・レイノルズ教授が来学，山本博理事を表敬訪問し，マイケル・ケイン保健学担当副学長から本学に宛てた親書を手渡しました。また，今後の学生及び研究者交流について意見交換が行われるなど，今後の交流充実に向けたよい機会となりました。
On April 27, Professor James Reynolds, Chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology, the University at Buffalo (State University of New York, Buffalo), paid a courtesy visit to Vice President Hiroshi Yamamoto, and delivered the official good-will letter from Professor Michael E. Cain, Vice President for Health Sciences of the University at Buffalo. There was also a discussion about the possibility of further student exchanges and research collaborations. It was a meaningful opportunity to promote further exchanges for both parties.
