Kanazawa University Kakuma Campus Master Plan (December 2023)
Approximately 34 years have passed since the start of the comprehensive relocation of the Kakuma Campus, the University’s main campus, in 1989. During this time, facilities and equipment have been aging, and the social environment surrounding the University has also changed with the times. Therefore, in cooperation with diverse stakeholders, the University has formulated the Kakuma Campus Master Plan with the aim of transforming the campus—serving as the foundation for increasingly advanced and multifunctional education and research activities—into a “co-creation hub for the future society” from both software and hardware aspects, and improving the quality and attractiveness of the campus. Through these efforts, the University aims to realize a “town-like” campus that is open to the public and integrated with the local community.
