Event Details
The Noto Satoyama Satoumi SDGs Meister Program aims to cultivate individuals equipped with the knowledge and skills to engage in activities that promote regional revitalization centered on Noto, making full use of the rich local resources of Noto’s Satoyama and Satoumi, designated as a Globally Important Agricultural Heritage System (GIAHS). This adult education program began in 2007, and 301 participants have completed the program as of FY2025.
We are currently accepting applications for the academic year 2026. (*The application period for the 2026 academic year has ended.)
We warmly welcome applications from individuals with a strong spirit of challenge who are committed to addressing the various social issues facing the Noto region—such as population decline accelerated by earthquakes and heavy rainfall—and who wish to contribute to creating a sustainable regional society unique to Noto, in harmony with its natural environment and traditional culture.
*Starting this year, the Practical Inquiry Track has been divided into two courses according to research themes: (1) GIAHS Noto Satoyama Satoumi Course (2) Reconstruction and Community Development Course
