Event Details
Kanazawa University Cancer Research Institute and the MEXT Interdisciplinary Area Expansion Hub Formation Program “Healthy Life Span Science” will host the Interdisciplinary International Cancer Symposium 2026.
This symposium focuses on the theme “Bio-code Literacy: Decoding Hidden Signals in Cell and Organ Crosstalk” and serves as an international academic event where leading researchers from Japan and abroad come together to discuss the forefront of cancer research.
Distinguished researchers from leading institutions—including Kanazawa University, Tohoku University, Osaka University, and Keio University, as well as two prominent researchers from research institutions in the United States—will present, offering a valuable opportunity to gain the latest insights in a single day. A poster session will also be providing ample opportunities for interaction among researchers ranging from early-career scientists to senior experts, and serving as an excellent platform to foster new collaborative research initiatives. We look forward to your participation.
●Interdisciplinary Approach: Deciphering Cell and Organ Crosstalk in Cancer through Multifaceted Perspectives
Unraveling the complex biological phenomenon of “intercellular and inter-organ crosstalk” is beyond the scope of any single academic discipline. This symposium brings together leading researchers from a wide range of fields, including basic medicine, clinical medicine, and life sciences. By intersecting multifaceted perspectives—encompassing not only cancer research but also inflammation, metabolism, and aging—we aim to deepen our understanding of the latent signals emitted between cells and organs through interdisciplinary discussions. By integrating cross-disciplinary expertise and innovative technologies, we strive to seamlessly connect basic research with clinical applications and to foster a new era of interdisciplinary collaboration in next-generation cancer research.
