The application guidelines for the 9th Kanazawa University Contest “Chozen Literature Award” have been published.

The Chozen Literature Award is one of Kanazawa University’s contests for high school students. This literary competition features two categories—fiction and tanka—and aims to praise and encourage the tireless efforts and talents of high school students who possess exceptional linguistic abilities and aspire to play active roles in various fields in the future through the “power of words” and the “power of literature.”

The 9th Kanazawa University Contest “Chozen Literature Award” – Call for Entries
 “Your words will open the future.”
[Application period]  Wednesday, July 1, 2026 – Monday, August 17, 2026 (must arrive by this date)
[Entry Category]  Fiction Category: One work per person; 40 characters × 40 lines; 5–8 pages
                                    Tanka Category: 15 tanka poems per person
[How to apply / Eligibility]  Please check the Kanazawa University website – Kanazawa University Contest page​
Recipients will be granted eligibility to apply for the Chozen Special Entrance Examination (Chozen Literature Selection) conducted by Kanazawa University.
