Event Details
Even before the earthquake, the Noto region was an advanced area in terms of social issues, with a rapidly declining population, an aging society with a declining birthrate, and a shortage of skilled workers. The geopolitical characteristics of the Noto region have brought to light a variety of issues in the recovery and reconstruction efforts following the earthquake. On the other hand, Noto is a depopulated community with strong human ties and resilient people who have lived in harmony with nature.
Toward the realization of such a "disaster-resistant community" in Noto, a seminar on regional "resilience" will be held at the research center in Nihonbashi, Tokyo.
