Event Details

Kanazawa University was selected for the "Future-Leading and Advanced Graduate-schools project (FLAGs)" (*1) in FY2025 Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, and we will accelerate graduate school education reform in the future.

In April 2026, Organization for Excellence in Graduate Education (OEGE) (*2), which will be newly established in April, will take the lead in co-creation with the Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST), a partner university, and aims to shift to open graduate school education with diverse sectors in Japan and abroad.

In the Kick-off Symposium, we will share visions and prospects for graduate education reform and explore the possibilities for fostering new doctoral human resources through the co-creation and exchange of "knowledge". This symposium will be the first step toward accelerating graduate school education and an opportunity to expand the circle of co-creation to nurture doctoral human resources who will lead the next generation.

The day will be conducted in a hybrid format, with both face-to-face and online sessions. We look forward to seeing you there.
