Event Details

Engineering and Technology Department, Kanazawa University (*) will hold a technical exhibition "Engineering and Technology Department EXPO" from March 9 to 12 to promote its technology inside and outside the university. This exhibition will cover a wide range of technical areas, such as imaging examples of the latest high-resolution 3D X-ray microscopes, introduction of various contract services currently offered by Engineering and Technology Department, and remote control systems for experimental facilities, which have been the focus of much attention in recent years. These topics will be introduced in an easy-to-understand manner through posters, specimens, and samples of workmanship. On the last day of the event, there will be live demonstrations and seminars based on the expertise of Technical Staff, including a workshop to learn precise manipulation techniques of micropipettes, which are indispensable for research experiments, in addition to a hands-on experience of the much talked-about 3D pen modeling process.

In addition to raising awareness of Technical Staff who support Kanazawa University 's education and research, the event will provide a forum for interaction that will allow people from both inside and outside the university to introduce each other's efforts and create opportunities for new connections and collaboration. As a new initiative this year, we have set up an "invitational exhibition section," providing an opportunity for high school students and people from other universities to present their daily activities. What is Engineering and Technology Department, Kanazawa University
The Technical Staff organization of the entire university, established ahead of others in Japan in fiscal year 2017. The fields of activity of the Technical Staff are instrumental analysis, information and IT, manufacturing, life science, and environmental safety. Currently, more than 60 Technical Staff technical assistants support education and research activities across the university. The Technical Staff of the entire university are working systematically in a "ONE TEAM" structure, which is a feature of the Engineering and Technology Department of Kanazawa University.
