On October 27th, 2023, the online ceremony of signing the MoUs for Cooperation and “Sikorsky Challenge Ukraine” was conducted with the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” (NTUU-KPI). NTUU-KPI is a top-tier university in Ukraine with 125 years of history and is the first Ukrainian higher education institution to associate with Kanazawa University.
The program of the signing ceremony began with the screening of introduction videos of both universities, followed by welcoming remarks. Dr. Mykhailo Zgurovsky, the Rector of NTUU-KPI, expressed expectations for educational and research collaboration with Kanazawa University. On the other hand, Dr. WADA Takashi, the President of Kanazawa University, emphasized the importance of education in nurturing future leaders and expressed eagerness for future collaboration and exchange.
Following the signing ceremony of the MoU for Cooperation between the universities, there was also the signing of the MoU for the “Sikorsky Challenge Ukraine”. The Sikorsky Challenge Ukraine, initiated in 2006, is a collaborative project aimed at creating an innovation ecosystem in Ukraine through industry-academia-government cooperation, with NTUU-KPI serving as the lead institution for this project. The conclusion of this MOU is expected to create a new innovation ecosystem environment at Kanazawa University.
