2016 Kanazawa University Disaster Drill(Kakuma Campus)

 

Starting at 11:40 AM Wednesday, October 19th, 2016

 

Kanazawa University will conduct earthquake evacuation drill starting at 11:40 AM Wednesday, October 19th, 2016 on Kakuma Campus. It is targeted at all students, faculty and staff in Kakuma Campus.

The purpose of this evacuation drill is to prepare the students, faculty and staff for evacuation in case of earthquake and to increase their daily awareness of disaster prevention. You must protect yourself against the disaster.

Please confirm the evacuation refuges and evacuation routes in order to take appropriate action when disaster strikes.

 

This drill simulates an earthquake with intensity of 6 upper in Hokuriku area, where there was no major damage to buildings and it is possible to evacuate outside.

Drill Content

  • Campus-wide simultaneous evacuation to the designated evacuation refuges
  • Fire Defense Organization and Self-Defense Fire Brigade drill
  • Firefighting and rescue operation by Kanazawa Central Fire Station
