On March 2, Ms. Fatima Akbari, a trainee of JICA Afghanistan Peace Project, and Director Tomoki Nitta and 2 other delegates from JICA Hokuriku paid a courtesy visit to President Koetsu Yamazaki.

At the meeting, there were lively discussions about the training program and the present situation in Afghanistan, as well as the possibility of exchanges between the universities in Afghanistan and Kanazawa University. Ms. Akbari is the first international student from Afghanistan to study at our university, and there is anticipation that this visit will promote more students from Afghanistan to study on our campuses in the future.
