Chaki Exhibition hosted by Kanazawa University Organization of Global Affairs

From June 25 to 30, Kanazawa University Organization of Global Affairs hosted a Chaki Exhibition at Ishikawa International Exchange Salon.

In this exhibition, 23 tea-bowls and art works were displayed, which entertained visitors. Under the guidance of 11th Ohi Chozaemon (Ohi Toshio), a visiting professor and a potter of Ohiyaki, international students from 8 different countries and several Japanese students crafted these art works. The art works were praised for distinct designs.

As part of this exhibition, international students held a tea gathering on June 29. These students have been learning Japanese tea ceremony as an extracurricular activity. This was a great opportunity for the students to showcase their progress.

Kanazawa University Organization of Global Affairs offers international students numerous opportunities to learn about and experience Japanese culture through classes and extracurricular activities.
