The Ambassador of Honduras to Japan and the Ambassador of Japan to Honduras Visit Kanazawa University

University and gave a special lecture hosted by the Center for Cultural Resource Studies. H.E. Talbott lectured on “Japan in the Eyes of Central America, Central America in the Eyes of Japan: In the Case of Honduras,” and approximately 90 audience gained a deeper understanding of the relationship between Honduras and Japan.

Prior to the lecture, H.E. Talbott and H.E. Kenji Okada, the Japanese Ambassador to Honduras, paid a courtesy visit to President Koetsu Yamazaki. At the meeting, there was a discussion on the on-going cooperation between Honduras and our university.

The Center for Cultural Resource Studies at Kanazawa University and the Honduran Institute of Anthropology and History concluded a partnership in February 2013, and they are collaborating in the field of cultural resource studies, especially at the Mayan site of Copan.
