On February 7, 2022, the MoU Signing Event with Estonian Entrepreneurship University of Applied Sciences (EUAS) took place online.
The program opened with an introduction of exchange achievements between two universities by Associate Professor Mammadova Aida of the Organization of Global Affairs, Kanazawa University, followed by welcome remarks by President Yamazaki Koetsu of Kanazawa University and Vice-Rector Hõbe Ly of EUAS.
In opening remarks, President Yamazaki spoke of the importance of collaboration with EUAS, which specializes in entrepreneurial education considering our recent focus on community-based entrepreneurial education, while Vice-President Hõbe introduced the entrepreneurial education environment in Estonia, which is promoting support for start-ups and unicorns at the national policy level and expressed her expectations for educational and research collaboration with Kanazawa University.
After the signing, mini open lectures were held to commemorate the event, with four faculty members representing each of the two universities giving a public lecture on the themes of "Entrepreneurship" and "Smart Cities".
All exchanges with EUAS and Kanazawa university, which started in the middle of COVID-19 pandemic, have so far been conducted online. This online event also represented the potential of virtual international exchange in "with Corona" era.
