KU-PSU-CTU Joint Symposium Takes Place in Kakuma Campus

On October 13, a Joint Symposium by Prince of Sonkla University (PSU) in Thailand, Can Tho University (CTU) in Vietnam, and Kanazawa University took place at the Natural Science Library, Kakuma Campus. Dr. Chusak Limsakul, President of PSU, Dr. Perapong Tekasakul, Vice President, and 10 other delegates, and Dr. Nguyen Thanh Phuong, Vice Rector of Can Tho University, and 2 other delegates participated in the event.

At the symposium, following the opening remarks by President Koetsu Yamazaki, President Limsakul, and Vice Rector Phuong, the panelists separated into two groups, Air Pollution Session (12 speakers) and Fisheries Science Session (7 speakers), and made their presentations.

This event was a valuable opportunity for the researchers of three universities to exchange information and deepen their knowledge. In addition, it helped to enhance their collaborative research or to seek the possibility of future collaboration.

During the session, all participants attended a special lecture by Professor Wladyslaw W. Szymanski of University of Vienna, Faculty of Physics and a lively debate took place.

Prior to the symposium, President Limsakul, Vice Rector Phuong and 3 other delegates paid a courtesy visit to President Yamazaki and there was positive discussion about future research and student exchanges among the three universities.

Also, on the 14, the 5th Kanazawa University-Prince of Songkla University Joint Workshop by the joint research group in Air Pollution took place.
